New Year's Eve with Jim Jarmusch, a man and some rabbits

Mystery Train makes me long for Memphis.
Down by Law makes me long for you know where - home.
Stranger than Paradise makes me long for something intangible.

2010 was a wonderful year and I am filled with gratitude. I hope 2011 is even better. My guardian angel tells me it will be the best yet. For everyone I have ever known no matter what passed between us I hope 2011 is full of joy for all of you.

End of Year Quote from Henry Miller

“And the more I looked at it, the less interesting it became. It only goes to show you there’s nothing to it after all, especially when it’s shaved. It’s the hair that makes it mysterious. That’s why a statue leaves you cold. Only once I saw a real cunt on a statue- that was by Rodin." - Henry Valentine Miller

lost and delirious: if you've never fallen, if you have never jumped you have never lived...

And if you have fallen and if you have jumped and pulled yourself up by the straps of your stupid heart and lived to tell the tale... if you have done this you are a queen no matter what they say or how they paint you.... the story is yours

all you have to do is tell your story and you will live forever

An Apple a Day...

I wish Fiona Apple would release another album.

December Monthly Horoscopes

(I didn't shoot these. I found them on photographyreview.com and britishlarder.co.uk.)

CAPRICORN
There is prettiness in some sadness, sexiness in rage, and glamour in languor, but the most stunning beauty is in forgiveness and joy... tis the season after all... light into the darkness like a prairie star.

AQUARIUS
Surround yourself with those who love you. If you don't have people who love you at least you won't be disappointed because it is usually when we have the expectation that someone loves us that they can hurt us the most. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

PISCES
You have the ability now find the discipline. Books are friends that always talk to you.

ARIES
You may travel far this month but remember as Proust said that the true voyage takes place in the mind.

TAURUS
Don't fear the cold... see how the snow glitters.

GEMINI
What should one do in a world so full of betrayal? Dance, smoke and laugh.

CANCER
Pay attention to the details and do it yourself if you want it done right. Carry on.

LEO
Let yourself fall on the softness of the season. There is no reason not to enjoy every minute. Relax. Make mochas at home.

VIRGO
See those people struggling? Lend them a hand. There is an angel living inside you.

LIBRA
The people who are close enough to touch are the ones who deserve your time and attention.

SCORPIO
Feel like the walls are closing in on you? Take a walk under the open sky. Listen to some Songs in A Minor by Alicia Keys.

SAGITTARIUS
Reconnect with those you've lost touch with. You can grow in different directions without growing apart.
